We are home...

As the title says we are home. To be perfectly honest I don't really know what else to write, seeing as how it is after 2am england time. Just that most of us didn't want to leave, but are glad we are home. Check back for some more stories and even some more pictures...Thanks for all the pray. God Bless.

Morning of Day 9

Today is the last day we will have with the students. Yesterday was a powerful time of worship and small group as a lot of tears were shed. Some of the students became fully open with their struggles in their walk with God. The afternoon led to some more upbeat events and games. The rest of the day was spent trying to make the most of the day with the realization of how little time we have left together began to sink in. Even now some of the students are packing up getting ready to leave in a little under two hours. Today is certian to hold many emotions. Pray that the bonds that were made will only grow and that connect will remain. Please also pray for safe travel for the students that are leaving today and pray that the team and the students leaving tommorw return safe as well. Your prays are greatly thanked by the team and the students. God Bless.

Morning of Day 8

It is about 8:17 so I will continue from yesterdays post. The team got to do some site seeing. A castle was the main attraction. We went by train and by bus. The students as well as the team are now realizing how little time we have left before we are suppose to leave. I did get some pictures up online so click here to see the photos. Once again the team thanks you for your continued pray. God Bless.

Day 6

Still no pictures yet, but hopefully soon I will be able to get some up. I only have a few mintues till the internet cafe closes, so this will be rather short. After dinner yesterday the team had some free time so we went down to town once again and got a better veiw of the city and the town garden. Today the pool was open as well as the gym, but many students still decided to play capture the flag outside. The talk today led to some great discussion during small groups and once again allowed the team members and students another great chance to bond and build relationships. I am still amazed at the openess of the students and their willingness to help. I need to get off now, hopefully later today I will be able to get some photos up. Thanks again for praying.

God Bless

Day 5

Today was day two of the program, day 5 for the members. We are already one third of the way into the trip, time is really flying. I can only wonder what else God has in store for us as this trip continues. The motto of the team is slowly becoming 'things change', because things truely are changing. The program has experinced some changing, the techincal issues created some change. However, and more importantly we are changing, and the students are changing. It is great to see the openness the students have towards the team members and I know personally I am learning so much from them and their experinces just as I am sure they are learning from us. I have often heard it said that when you go on trips like this you expect to be teaching others, but you end up learning far more than you could have taught them. Once again I will ask for prayer for the team and the students. Look for more updates to come, as internet access allows. God Bless

From Melissa - Day 4

hey all!!

sorry we haven't written sooner! Crazy busy week w/ no internet access!
Team is doing really well...we're having a blast (still a little
jet-lagged, but really good)... our first day with the students is
almost half over, and going really well! God has been great! All things
are working out well, we arrived safe, our bags arrived safely, and
everything is going really well! Please pass the word along to all!

please pray for the students that we are ministering to; that they would
begin to have a personalized faith and that they would go from here
feeling loved and refreshed!

much love!
melissa

We made it!

After a 6 hour flight and a 3-4 hour bus ride we made it. The team is overall rather well rested and enjoying the time. The first day was spent resting and getting to know the town a little better. Day 2 was spent setting up for the week's program. Today began the first day of work. The team is begining to bond with the students. Everyone is looking forward to spending more time with the students and creating lasting relationships.

    Pray for...
  • the safety of the team and that they remain rested
  • the relationships being bulit
  • that the team and the students are open to what God's plan is

Please look for more updates and if possible a few photos. Updates will be made as internet access allows.

God Bless
